Lego League Robotics Competition

November 10, 2012
8 am – 5 pm

The SE Metro FIRST Lego League Robotics Qualifier will be hosted by the O-Zone at Prairie Middle School on Saturday, November 10 from 8 am – 5 pm. The public is welcome to attend this free event.

Twenty-four teams, including three teams from Prairie and thirteen teams from Cherry Creek School District schools, will be presenting their unique solutions to this year's challenge "Senior Solutions". Students have been researching issues that our aging population has been experiencing and creating solutions to these problems. In addition, teams have been building and programming NXT Mindstorm robots to show their knowledge in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).

Food will be available for purchase to help support Overland's First Robotics Competition team. The robotics competition is open for viewing and should provide an inspiring and entertaining experience for "kids" of all ages. Make plans to support these students as they lead the way in technical solutions to the problems of the future.
