Reduced Rate Parenting Classes
Education is one of the most effective ways of improving the skills of parents, strengthening the family, and preventing child abuse and neglect. And it is even more effective when administered early in the parenting role, before any situations have arisen to threaten the stability of the home environment.
Families First has received a grant which allows us to offer our parenting classes at rates which are below our usual fees of $60 for a single and $90 for a couple. For your information and understanding, I will share that the cost to Families First for each parenting class attendee is $200, so we are very pleased that we can offer these classes at an even greater reduction than is usual.
We are encouraging parents to consider taking a course, even if all is fine at home. None of us has been taught, except by our parents, how to parent our children, and the skills that are learned are effective in dealing with all relationships in our lives, not just with our children.
Registration is easy and accomplished by calling Families First at 303-745-0327. The attendee must ask for financial assistance when they register and will be helped through the process by Families First staff.
Currently, our class listing includes: A+ Parenting; Constructive Parenting; Parenting with Confidence; ABC's of Parenting; Becoming a Love and Logic Parent; 1,2,3,4 Parents; and Appreciating Your Adolescent.
